MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!! It's only been one week that I haven't had any drop-ins and I'm missing you already. If you think that's bad, it's only been 6 days since no Scream rehearsal and I'm going into withdrawal. I'm crazy, it's official.
My website is now in good hands people, it will be brand "new-ified" soon! It's already looking great, I can't wait to show you all!
I sent most of you a newsletter in an email with updates on my life, let me know if the file didn't attach, I'll send another one to you. In the new year, it will all be linked to my site! Hourray for Sylvain, technology and reliable people!

La compétition est encore ouverte, on est juste 150 votes plus loin d'être #5. Je suis certaine que si on continue à voter en grand nombres, on va monter plus haut. J'ai même appris un truc aujourd'hui ou on peut voter plus qu'une fois par jour... on click sur les autres vidéos et on revient à le nôtre. En tout cas, si vous avez 5 secondes pour nous (Kim & moi), ça serait vraiment apprécié!

N'oubliez-pas la journée portes ouvertes de SCREAM samedi à 13h... on va avoir des beaux calendriers de SCREAM à vendre aussi! Ils sont écoeurantes, je suis certaine! C'est Marie-Eve Larose qui me les ai montées. Elle est VRAIMENT une bonne "graphic designer" - la meilleure!

I'm so excited about the Open House Saturday, December 8th. Remeber, anyone can come!

There are 4 drop-ins left before xmas. Tuesday (tomorow), Saturday the 8th, Tuesday the 11th and Saturday the 15th. After that, we're on vacation and back in Jaunary.

Dans les prochaines semaines, on participera dans le show Longueuil Remixé - je suis sur que vous avez vu dans le métro des affiches avec un acteur déguisé en Charles Lemyone, c'est ce show là. SCREAM danse la finale que moi, j'ai fait la chorégraphie! Je danserai aussi un solo dans le show... I'm so excited & honored that I was asked! On fera 8 réprésentations!

***SPECIAL EVENT***

Samedi, le 8 décembre SCREAM fais un "open house" une journée "portes ouvertes" comme levée de fonds pour aider à financer notre show le 23 février prochain.

De 13h à 14h30, n'importe qui est invité à faire le cours de technique de SCREAM avec nous pour $10. We are expecting a lot of people so tell everyone! Après le cours, il y aura une présentation informel de nos chorégraphies en progrès (si vous ne faites pas le cours mais vous êtes quand même intéressé de voir nos chorés, vous arrivez pour 14h30). Il y aura du café, du thé & du temps pour nous demander des questions sur SCREAM & nos projets pour l'avenir. Il n'y a pas d'age limite - so anyone can come!!

Time for an update! Thank you so much to everyone who made it out to (450). Merci à tous nos commanditatires aussi (Arbraska, Kamicase, Tony Finelli, OBS clinic from the Jewish General Hospital, Marie-Eve Larose, la famille Finelli)! We love you. I love you. It was an awesome send-off for the show. I can't believe I won't be hearing "♪ people in sublurbia" over & over anymore...

I'm currently working on a show for the 350 anniversary of Longueuil called "Longueuil Remixé". SCREAM's dancing the finale for the show (♪ médi, médi, médiator...). Il va avoir 8 réprésentations. It's pretty exciting. A couple weeks ago, me, Tanya & Arianne went to a press conference & our picture was in the Courrier du Sud.

SCREAM's new show is in the preparation stages. Notre prochain show est le 23 février 2008 - écrivez-le déjà dans vos agendas! Je ne vous donne aucun détails! You'll have to wait & see!

Mes drop-ins vont super bien! On rit, on danse, on "sweat"... c'est le fun! Si vous n'avez pas osé de venir encore... qu'est-ce que vous attendiez? Come on! Je suis vraiment fière de mes élèves. Ils travaillent super fort!

Lauren Hill started last week too... it looks like a promising year. I've got a contemporary class & hip hop fusion. Durocher a commencé aussi! J'ai 30 filles dans chacune de mes cours! Je suis contente de revoir des visages! I'm going to have to get used to getting called Miss. B all ver again!

I love dancing. Did I mention that before?

Lynsey on TV?!

Hey dudes. I know what you are all thinking... Lynsey needs to be on TV. Well, your dreams have come true friends, your dreams have come true. I will be on TVRS, channel 9 (VOX) on Videotron Tuesday night (September 18th - yes tomorow) at 7:30 pm. It will be repeated Thursday at 11:00 am & Sunday at 5:00 pm. It's a show called Jonction Rive Rud, hosted by my friend Mylène Péthel. I'll be promoting SCREAM's show (450). I was really nervous during the taping, I'm sure there will be some hilarities that I'll embarassed about later. You can always catch it at www.tvrs.ca too. I'll be at my drop-in at Studio Bizz so I'll miss it so I hope someone is taping it...

I will also be featured in the South Shore journal "Le Magazine" this week. It comes out Thursday. I am also talking about the show (450). It's been an exciting week for me & it's only Monday - I also had a press conference this morning for Longueuil Remixé, celebrating the 350 anniversary of Longueuil. I'm choreographing the finale & SCREAM is performing. I'm sure you've seen the posters all over the city - it's the advertisements featuring Charles Lemoyne. Look for them, they're everywhere! It's at the end of November.

For those of you who don't think I'm busy enough, this is why. I'm going to bed now, I'm so tired, I forgot to write in French.

Devinez-quoi!? C'est peut-être plus intéressant pour moi mais j'ai eu un entrevue hier du journal régionale de la rive sud "Le Magazine" concernant mon show (450). Le journal va sortir juste avant le show! AUSSI, je va passer à la télé le 17 septembre sur un émission sur VOX - aussi pour (450). Je va vous dire quand et à quelle heure quand j'aurais plus d'infos. Aussi, SCREAM viens juste de commencer, I'm really excited about the new group! AND we have a show for Longueuil Remixé, it's the 350 birthday of Longueuil this year & we're dancing the finale of the show! I'm just énervée! There's a lot going on & I'm happy.
N'oubliez-pas notre show (450) le 29 septembre! On a besoin de vous comme public. Venez! De toute façon, I'm going to call a lot of you this week to make sure you have tickets before they sell out!

New Fall Classes

I just got home from New York! Airplanes are always scary... but I was ok! Everytime, I get just a little braver. I took some amazing dance classes at Broadway Dance Centre & Steps on Broadway (Jazz-Funk, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Pilates & Ballet). I had great time with my homies too! Nothing is sore, but of course that's what I said last time before I called my chiropractor in a panic.

It took me forever and a day to decide who I was going to take from the audition for SCREAM to work with me this year. Here's the final listing for 2007-2008:

For those of you that weren't chosen, please do not be discouraged. I thought you were ALL fantastic dancers. I will keep everyone posted on shows, trips & auditions for the upcoming year. Thank you everyone who participated - you all made me feel very special! You are ALL very talented dancers - even if you didn't make it. Remember, it's as I explained at the audititon... you all dance well, you all have a tremendous amount of talent. I was looking for something specific for this show - because I didn't take you this year, doesn't mean you're not good enough. Keep dancing everyone! Show me that I made the wrong decision by not accepting you!

Audition 2007-2008

I could not be more proud of everyone who auditioned for Scream this past weekend. I have to say, it's been the hardest time for me to decide who's in... I'm still thinking about it. My mind is not completely made up - I said it would be by today but it's not. I'm so proud. Everyone gave it their all. There was such a big turnout! For the girls who did not get in, KEEP DANCING! You were all very good. I will have an official update tomorow night for the official Scream Team 2007-2008. Oh my. You guys all rocked! I'm so proud. So proud. xoxoxox

WOW. Just when I thought my students were superstars, you go ahead & dance like you did on Monday & Tuesday night! Studio Bizz was on fire guys! Vous étiez super! Il n'y a pas de mots... Je suis en train de mettre les film sur mon ordi (I don't really know how) but I'm trying. I can't wait for you guys to see it! As a side note, I'm trying to find a studio for Thursdays just in case we are a million again on Monday.
If you missed it, SCREAM performed outside at Mt. Royal Metro at 9:00 PM. Thanks to those of you who stayed, we needed you - we were really nervous. Pour le monde qui l'ont manqué, on va danser lundi prochain encore au métro Mt. Royal à 21h. Pour le restant de l'été, on va faire des mini shows impromptu partout dehors surtout les mardis après les drop-ins. I'll put the dates & times & places under shows for SCREAM. For my peeps in SCREAM: it was so fun! My back is so sore! The pavement is unforgiving - Kim, I don't know if the newspapers is a good idea... think about the butt part.

Home from B.C.

Helloww! I'm back from BC! Je suis tellement énervé, j'ai hâtes à mon cours demain. I think there are going to be a lot of peeps this week - make sure you show up early to register. If there are too many personnes, je va ouvrir un autre cours les mercredis, mais il va falloir qu'on enregistre So You Think You Can Dance. I can't wait to see you guys!

Allo everyone from Vancouver! C'est tellement beau ici je ne reviens pas! We've been walking around all over the place - eating salmon, dancing, enjoying the outdoors. I'm in heaven! Today, I have 3 dance classes lined up... Modern, House & street jazz. On va voir si je va réussitr à tout faire. Tomorow we're off to Tofino. On va peut-être essayer le surf! Arg! I'm so happy. BRAVO! Je suis tellement fière de toutes mes danseuses à Ecole de Danse Hugo DePot! Le show était fantastique - j'ai seulement pleuré like... the whole time!!! I'm so proud of you guys. Le monde était debout la dernière fois que vous avez faites "Thriller". Les photos et les vidéos du show seront montés bientot - peut-etre la semaine prochaine. Je suis maintenant à Toronto avec ma soeur pour voir mon père. On est venu pour lui faire une surprise pour sa fete. He was shocked! On se repose avant mes drop-ins commencent lundi prochain. J'ai hâte!!! Ca fait trois jours que je n'ai pas dansé mais ça me manques already. A bientot everybody!
